With view of “Weißenkirchen in der Wachau” and the Donau/Danube.
On this wonderful day in fall 2025 I did a little trip to the Wachau and looked over the mountains. One can clearly imagine how beautiful this will look in summer. Standing at the viewpoint, I could easily imagine how stunning this landscape must look in summer, with lush green vines stretching towards the river. The Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its picturesque villages, historic castles, and, of course, its renowned wine.
There’s a small parking spot where you can stop and enjoy the panoramic view. This afternoon, I took the opportunity to capture some beautiful photos, trying to preserve the peaceful mood of the moment. The gentle flow of the Danube, the charming rooftops of Weißenkirchen, and the rolling hills in the background create an unforgettable scene.
