A few months ago, I came across a new PDF “editor”/tool.

Is there a PDF editing/converter/multi tool that runs in the browser?

The solution: Stirling-PDF. You can even use it Self-hosted! With over 50 possible PDF operations in 2025.

What is it not? A “live-view” / PDF-Editor with drag and drop and editing of pictures in place.

If you have a VM, Raspberry Pi, or another computer with Docker, you can get started right away.

A small docker tutorial will be available later here but can be found out on the wild internet.

You can do almost all PDF operations you can imagine (50+). Even sign PDF’s or build workflows/pipelines. I already used it last year a lot to merge PDF pages.

It has a “Dark Mode” and a “White Mode”.

Summary: Try it yourself! Its easy to get it running.
